Long time resident Orena Mae Winkelman of Cushing, Okla. passed from this life July 28, 2023 at the age of 98. Orvena was born on the Reedy homestead in Agra, Okla. to Clayton and Lillie Reedy on May 14, 1925. The Reedy homestead was the land her father acquired during the Oklahoma Land Run.

ROY J. “JUNIOR” HERRING

Roy J “Junior” Herring of Cushing departed this life Saturday evening August 19, 2023 at the age of 97 with family by his side. Herring was born on a farm in Lincoln County near Chandler on May 11, 1926. He was the second oldest of six children of Everett Leroy and Myrtle (Moore) Herring.
