Lady Tigers headed to Ft. Gibson Tourney

CUSHING — The Cushing Lady Tigers are grinding through the rockiest part of their schedule and last week, they hosted 9-4 Berryhill and lost 26-48. The ladies traveled to Mannford Friday and lost to the 7-5 Lady Pirates, 28-49.

Well, we had our final varsity basketball game at the Brickyards. The story about it was: two rival coaches were discussing Drumright as one of them said, “We beat them by 6 at our place.”The other said, “Wait ’til they get to you at the Brickyards.

Lady Tigers get a win over Pond Creek

CUSHING — The Cushing Lady Tiger basketball team finally has a win under its belt after declawing the 5-4 Pond Creek Lady Panthers on Monday.The win ended Cushing’s 13-game losing streak and Head Coach Mason Baade was pleased with their performance against Pond Creek.

Bulldogs survive tough schedule, come out 7-5

YALE - The Yale Bulldog basketball team was 5-2 coming out of the Christmas break, but the beginning of the new year brought up one of the spiciest sections of their entire schedule.They opened the year hosting the 12-1 Frontier Mustangs, who are currently ranked ninth in all of Class B basketball.

CUSHING — Coming back from Christmas break, the Cushing Tigers still had the 31-36 loss to Mannford stuck in their teeth, but they shook it off and, after falling to Kiefer, 58-71, they have found their stride and won their last three games.

Both boys and girls get in one game at Prue Tourney The Drumright Tornadoes travelled to Olive Tuesday night. The Lady Tornadoes beat Olive 50-39.
