Stillwater man dies when car goes into Cimarron

RIPLEY — A Stillwater man lost his life in a violent high-speed crash at the SH-33 bridge over the Cimarron River Thursday.According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Ryan Cooper, the accident occurred at around 8:47 a.m. Thursday and ended with the vehicle and driver in the Cimarron River.

East wins All-State Basketball game

SAPULPA - The All-State Basketball game was played at Sapulpa. Jason Bray, Drumright and Kolby Johnson, Caddo, were the coaches for the small-school East.The East won 84-83, but they were up 64-43 midway through the third quarter, before the lead evaporated to just four points in no time.

Drumright, Cushing athletes show up SHAWNEE — The All-State Football game was played Friday Night in Shawnee. Drumright’s Bryson Kelley played linebacker. He and his teammates played opportunity defense.Even though they gave up 224 (which is pretty good), 105 of them were given up on four plays.
