Cushing Tiger Head Coach Jonteau Austin-Ezell is looking for good things as the second half of the high school basketball season gets underway. Ezell said Christmas break was good to the team. “Coming out of Christmas break, we had some great practices,” he said.

Tigers gather experience at Cleveland

The Cushing Tiger basketball team was not as healthy as Head Coach Jonteau Ezell would have liked going into the Cleveland Tournament last Thursday and in their opening game against the host team, they lost to Cleveland 51-65.

Tigers win in Berryhill

On the heels of their 43-62 loss to Cleveland Tuesday, the Cushing Tiger boys basketball team traveled to Berryhill and defeated the Chiefs, 51-42. It was a slow start for both teams, neither of whom were able to get out of single digits in the first period.
